Designing & Collaborating with Figma

Is it just a figment of your imagination or is that really students engaged in deep conversation?! This week’s tool is not only for design but can also help students express their ideas and brainstorm!
Figma
Figma Design is a design platform that can support older students with learning graphic design, illustration and software prototypes. It is laid out to help designers work and create! There are all kinds of of design tools that would help students with design projects from logos to prototypes. It is a cloud-based design platform that allows students to work collaboratively on projects. This means that several students can work on the same design project simultaneously, making it an great tool for group projects or classroom assignments!
FigJam
FigJam on the other hand can be used in most classrooms. This platform can also be shared and working on by several people at once. However, this space is meant for brainstorming, diagramming, planning etc. It has all kinds of fun tools to help you get your point across. My favorites are the emojis, Post-it type notes and Washi tape! This is a great whiteboard space to have your students collaborate on while they are having discussions in class. The possibilities are endless!
