As we wrap up 2023 and prepare for a restful winter break, I wanted to leave you with some fun, creative sites you can utilize in your last classes before the holidays. So, let’s end things on an upbeat note as we look ahead to new ideas and inspiration in 2024! In this week’s episode, we’ll be exploring Emoji Kitchen and FunkoPop Yourself – two amusing platforms sure to spark festive innovation and smiles across your classroom.
Emoji Kitchen
Add some extra fun to your lessons before the winter break with Emoji Kitchen! This nifty site lets students combine two emojis to create wacky and wonderful new ones. Use it to inspire creative writing and storytelling, send coded messages, or make unique handmade cards and gifts. The possibilities are endless when you let their imaginations run wild in Emoji Kitchen!
Pop! Yourself
Students will also get a kick out of designing their own Funko Pop vinyl figures on the FunkoPop Yourself website. They can recreate themselves, friends, family members, favorite book characters, and more as stylized collectible figurines. It’s an enjoyable way to celebrate individuality and self-expression. Best of all, no account is needed to create and download their silly caricatures to share the fun!
